On a recent episode of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, Kendall Jenner peeked her head out from her hyperbolic oxygen chamber, which Grazia featured, and according to What To Watch, had fans cracking up. An Allure editor even tested one. Oxygen chambers claim to deliver multiple health benefits, including healthier skin. Michael Jackson was the first celebrity to reportedly “sleep in one” for its anti-aging benefits. There was even an iconic photo of the mega-star laying it one in the 80s, notes the LA Times.

Are oxygen chambers now the next big trend in beauty treatments? Goals Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery just added the treatment to its list of services now available at its Atlanta, Georgia location.

“Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is an esteemed treatment for conditions such as serious infections, blood cell issues, and slow-healing wounds, especially when as a result of diabetes or radiation injury,” states Goals.

What happens during the treatment? “Inside the hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, air pressure is multiplied to allow the client’s lungs to obtain higher oxygen levels, which helps fight bacteria and stimulate stem cells which promote healing, reduces swelling and increases blood flow,” Goals states. “The chamber also helps produce and strengthen collagen cells which is a large factor within skin aging. Studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen treatments in healthy aging adults can stop the aging of blood cells and reverse the aging process,” the spa says, which is information sourced via Science Daily.

Goals says it plans to welcome clients into its new downtown Atlanta headquarters to offer this age-reversing treatment.

There are already dozens of places in New York City where you can lay in a hyperbolic oxygen chamber like the Vitaeris model shown above.

Kendall Jenner’s endorsement may soon have every spa and salon client asking about oxygen therapy treatments.
